The Postcolonial Studies Association (UK) and the Journal of Postcolonial Writing are pleased to announce the 6th consecutive running of their Postgraduate Essay Competition. Whether you work on cultural studies, literature, film, politics, sociology, history, or any other discipline in the humanities and social sciences, if your work contributes in significant and innovative ways to the evolving field of postcolonial studies, then please consider submitting an essay to the competition.
All entries are anonymously read by members of our judging panel, who are all postcolonial experts from various HE institutions. The winning essay, subject to editorial approval, will then be published by the Journal of Postcolonial Writing. Apart from having your work published in a respected postcolonial journal, you would also win £250, as well as complimentary membership of the PSA, if you are not already a member. The runner-up also gets considerable mention in the Chair’s announcement to all our members.
