Masters (MA) in Women’s Studies, University College Cork
(Academic year 2020/2021)
https://www.ucc.ie/en/
The MA in Women’s Studies is an interdisciplinary programme, with students gaining insights from academics across the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences as well as from the College of Business and Law. Students develop a grounding in feminist theory and research while also examining gender and society through a multidisciplinary lens. Staff members from over ten different academic departments contribute to the MA, allowing each student to develop a unique MA experience. The programme, taught since 1991-92, is tailored to suit each student’s specific area of academic interest and educational background, and is particularly suitable for working students and mature students. The taught part of the course runs from September to May (Tue-Thu, 5-7 pm), while students write the dissertation from May to September (or in their second year if part-time).
In 2020-21, for international students and for Irish/EU students unable to travel to Cork due to work, care, or health reasons, the course will also available partly or fully online:

The course is open to applicants from different fields, with an honours primary degree at 2H2 level or equivalent, and with adequate English language proficiency. Applicants with experience in the areas of community work, industry, or the professions can also apply and will be supported in building an equivalence case.
