Call For Papers (EN): The Women Writers of Philosophical Romanticism SYMPHILOSOPHIE:

International Journal of Philosophical Romanticism is an online, open-access and peer-reviewed journal for new academic research on philosophical romanticism. SYMPHILOSOPHIE is now accepting submissions of original research articles, review essays, book reviews and new translations for its second issue, which will appear in late 2020. The main focus of this second issue is the thought of the women thinkers and writers of philosophical romanticism, among others: Karoline von Günderrode, Caroline Schlegel, Dorothea Veit, Sophie Mereau, Germaine de Staël, Bettina von Arnim. Possible topics to be addressed include: theories of the sexes, freedom, gender, marriage, property, relations between women and men in society, the state etc., and the relation of these female thinkers to their male peers in philosophical romanticism, and vice versa. These topics should be philosophically treated. This could be done from the perspectives of metaphysics, politics, right (law), ethics, aesthetics, religion, anthropology, or other philosophers and traditions, and/or in relation to modern 21st century issues, debates, and so on. Apart from a section on the main topic, SYMPHILOSOPHIE also has a further section containing miscellaneous essays. Original research articles and reviews on other topics of philosophical romanticism will therefore also be considered for this second issue. SYMPHILOSOPHIE especially welcomes scholarly research that returns to the original textual sources, while critically taking into account the secondary literature. The submission deadline is: 31 May 2020. SYMPHILOSOPHIE accepts submissions in the English, French, German and Italian languages. Research and review articles should be no longer than 12,000 words, including footnotes and bibliography. Book reviews should not exceed 2,000 words. Submissions in English should adhere to the Chicago Manual of Style and be sent in MS Word format (.doc or .docx). Call For Papers (FR) : Les femmes écrivaines et philosophes du romantisme SYMPHILOSOPHIE.

Revue internationale de philosophie romantique est une revue scientifique en ligne à comité de lecture international, paraissant en accès libre une fois par an. La revue est consacrée aux nouvelles recherches philosophiques sur le romantisme. SYMPHILOSOPHIE accepte à présent des propositions d’articles originaux à caractère scientifique, de traductions inédites et de recensions et critiques d’ouvrages pour son deuxième numéro, dont la publication est prévue pour la fin de l’année 2020. Ce second numéro thématique portera sur la pensée des femmes écrivaines et philosophes du romantisme, telles Karoline von Günderrode, Caroline Schlegel, Dorothea Veit, Sophie Mereau, Germaine de Staël, Bettina von Arnim. Pourront être abordés les thèmes suivants : la théorie des sexes, de la liberté, du genre, le mariage, la propriété, les relations entre femmes et hommes dans la société, au sein de l’État, etc., mais aussi le rapport de ces penseuses à leurs pairs masculins dans le romantisme (et vice versa). Ces questions devront faire l’objet d’un traitement philosophique ; elles seront envisagées au point de vue de la métaphysique, de la politique, du droit, de l’éthique, de l’esthétique, de la religion, de l’anthropologie…, comme en regard d’autres philosophes et traditions philosophiques, et/ou en rapport avec les questions actuellement débattues par les divers courants de pensée féministe au XXIe siècle. En plus du dossier thématique, SYMPHILOSOPHIE comporte une section « Varia ». Pour ce deuxième numéro, la revue accepte donc également pour évaluation tout article original portant sur n’importe quel autre aspect de la philosophie romantique. La revue accueille tout particulièrement des recherches retournant aux sources originales dans les éditions critiques de référence en même temps qu’elles se positionnent par rapport à la littérature secondaire. La date limite de soumission des contributions est fixée au 31 mai 2020. SYMPHILOSOPHIE publie en quatre langues : français, anglais, allemand et italien. Dans la mesure du possible, les articles ne dépasseront pas 12 000 mots (notes et bibliographie comprises) ; les recensions d’ouvrages, 2000 mots. Call For Papers (DE) : Die Schriftstellerinnen der philosophischen Romantik SYMPHILOSOPHIE:

Internationale Zeitschrift für philosophische Romantik erbittet die Einreichung von Forschungsartikeln, Buchbesprechungen und neuen Übersetzungen für die zweite Ausgabe der Online-Zeitschrift, die Ende 2020 erscheinen wird. 3 Im Mittelpunkt dieses zweiten Bandes steht die Gedanken der Schriftstellerinnen und Denkerinnen der philosophischen Romantik, unter anderem: Karoline von Günderrode, Caroline Schlegel, Dorothea Veit, Sophie Mereau, Germaine de Staël, Bettina von Arnim. Mögliche Themen sind: ihre Auffassungen von Geschlecht, Freiheit, Ehe, Eigentum; die Beziehungen zwischen Frauen und Männern in der Gesellschaft, in dem Staat usw. sowie das Verhältnis dieser weiblichen Denker zu ihren männlichen Kollegen in der philosophischen Romantik (und umgekehrt). Diese Themen sollten philosophisch behandelt werden. Dies könnte aus der Perspektive der Metaphysik, der Politik, des Rechts, der Ethik, der Ästhetik, der Religion, der Anthropologie oder anderer Philosophen und Traditionen, und/oder in Bezug auf Themen, Debatten und so weiter des 21. Jahrhunderts geschehen. Neben dem Thementeil enthält SYMPHILOSOPHIE eine Sektion „Varia“. Wir begrüßen daher für diesen zweiten Band auch die Einreichung von Original-Forschungsartikeln zu jeder anderen Fragestellung der philosophischen Romantik. Die Zeitschrift begrüßt insbesondere wissenschaftliche Forschungen, die sich mit den Quellen beschäftigt und die Sekundärliteratur dabei kritisch berücksichtigt. Die Einreichungsfrist endet am 31. Call For Papers (IT) : Il pensiero delle scrittrici e filosofe del romanticismo SYMPHILOSOPHIE.

Rivista internazionale sulla filosofia romantica è una rivista scientifica internazionale on-line, open-access e peer-reviewed dedicata alla nuova ricerca filosofica sul romanticismo. La rivista viene pubblicata con scadenza annuale ed è dedicata alle nuove ricerche filosofiche sul romanticismo. SYMPHILOSOPHIE accetta da ora proposte d’articoli di carattere scientifico, traduzioni e recensioni inedite per il suo secondo numero, la cui pubblicazione è prevista per la fine del 2020. Il tema di questo secondo numero riguarda in particolare il pensiero delle scrittrici e filosofe del romanticismo, tra cui: Karoline von Günderrode, Caroline Schlegel, Dorothea Veit, Sophie Mereau, Germaine de Stäel, Bettina von Arnim. Potranno essere toccati temi quali, a titolo d’esempio, la teoria dei sessi, della libertà, del genere, l’istituzione matrimoniale, la proprietà, le relazioni tra donne e uomini nella società e nello Stato, ma anche il rapporto tra tali pensatrici e il loro correlato maschile nel romanticismo (e viceversa). Tali argomenti dovranno essere analizzati 4 da un punto di vista filosofico; saranno quindi affrontati dal punto di vista della metafisica, della politica, del diritto, dell’etica, dell’estetica, de la religione, dell’antropologia, … ma anche in rapporto ad altri/e filosofi/e e altre tradizioni filosofiche, e/o in rapporto alle questioni attualmente dibattute nelle diverse declinazioni del pensiero femminista del XXI secolo. Verranno presi in considerazione anche articoli che non prendano in considerazione il tema sopra esposto, ma che risultino di particolare rilevanza per l’attuale ricerca sul Romanticismo. La rivista accoglie in particolare contributi che si riferiscano in modo diretto alle fonti primarie nelle edizioni critiche di riferimento e che allo stesso tempo prendano una posizione in rapporto alla letteratura secondaria. La data limite per l’invio delle proposte di articoli è fissata per il 31 luglio 2020. SYMPHILOSOPHIE pubblica testi in quattro lingue: francese, inglese, tedesco e italiano. Gli articoli non devono superare le 12.000 parole (note e bibliografia comprese) e le recensioni le 2000 parole. I testi redatti in italiano devono rispettare le linee guida indicate nella sezione “Istruzioni per gli autori” nella versione italiana del sito (https://symphilosophie.com/it/istruzioni-per-gli-autori/).
